Veritas was born in 2007 from the will of the owner Stefano Giancotti, who decided to open his personal ‘window on the city’, strong in his love for haute cuisine, wine and conviviality.

A choice of patronage even before entrepreneurship.

Nomen omen, Veritas is a declaration of intent, Stefano’s way of looking at life that leaves a style on the territory: authenticity, independence, open-mindedness, freedom of thought, character.

Our menus are like a musical rhapsody in which multiple themes are developed in free form, giving vivacity, intensity and complexity to them. Acidity, bitterness, umami, savouriness, sweetness, fat, starch, all in the same menu.

An up and down of perceptions, different from dish to dish, each of which is characterised by a different taste tendency.

Nothing bad at all to say about this restaurant. The staff was extremely welcoming, the atmosphere was upscale but not stuffy or pretentious and the food was incredible. We chose the 5 course tasting option since we ate a large lunch before. 5 good sized portions and a couple of free bites later and we were pleasantly full. Every single bite was incredible and the dishes were both creative and interesting to enjoy. Possibly our favorite part was the overall value. For any Michelin starred restaurant it’s easy to get away with great food but very high prices. Happy to report that Veritas offers stunning food at prices we were more than pleased with. Even their wine selection is very fairly priced. We walked out of there with 2, 5-course tastings, a glass + a bottle of wine and two very happy and full people for only €210. For the quality of dishes you’re getting, it’s practically a steal. Highly recommend.

This was something very special. We went here for Valentine’s Day but we had our 13 year old with us. What a once in a lifetime meal. This was loved by all 3 of us and a truly Michelin star experience that we will never forget. Everything was spectacular. Thank you! Amazing food. They make it truly an art. The wine pairings were some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy

In a word - disappointing. Although the food was very tasty and the ingredients clearly of great quality, the staff really ruined the experience. We ordered the 6 course set menu. After the initial question of whether we would like to start off with sparkling wine, the sommelier nor the waiters did not pay any attention to us. The wine and water we poured ourselves. The main waiter was rude and dismissive, with every question about olive oil or salt met with a contemptuous waving of the hand. We were charged extra, which we brought to the attention of the staff. After correcting the bill we did inform the main waiter of our experience, which he didn’t seem to care about. It is quite surprising that an establishment with such poor customer service would be deemed worthy of a Michelin star.

Glad we tried this place, it was one of the best meals we had in Naples and I would recommend it to others visiting the area. Pros: food was delicious, the welcome dishes were thoughtful and tasty, our favorite bites were the beef tataki and iverian pork, the 7 course meal gave us plenty of food and left us satisfied afterward, the wine pairing was also excellent. Cons: the layout of the restaurant is odd, we dined in a small room off to the side with only 3 tables, felt a little removed from the rest of the diners. The courses themselves came out very fast at first then we randomly had these long delays between dishes toward the end of the meal (may have been intentional, we didn't care for the inconsistency) and the rum baba dish, we simply could not eat it, the rum flavor was so strong it over powered the dish. Overall, though, we did enjoy this place abd thought the prices were reasonable. Thank you for a great experience.

Really good food and wine pairing. I highly recommend as a Michelin star. Expensive but worth it. Their shrimp is something I never tasted before, creamy, very uniquely cooked. Amazing. The wines are mostly from the region and excellent matches with the food.
