The wonder of dining overlooking the sea , immersed in the scents of wisteria and Mediterranean herbs. The splendid setting of the historic Villa della Pergola and its Gardens, the most beautiful park in Italy, makes the Nove one of the most evocative and history-rich locations on the Ligurian Riviera. Since 2020 part of the prestigious Relais et Châteaux family.
It’s difficult to imagine a more exclusive setting for a restaurant than the Villa della Pergola, a splendid historic residence surrounded by a delightful botanic garden (which can be visited for a fee and by prior appointment), with a spectacular balcony offering views of the sea in the distance – it’s well worth the drive with its narrow hairpin bends to get here. Here, new chef Antonio Romano, who has worked with Heinz Beck, creates modern dishes based on local ingredients and vegetables sourced mainly from the property’s own biodynamic kitchen garden, L’Orto Rampante. Among the many delicious dishes, we particularly enjoyed the glazed veal sweetbreads with paprika, artichokes, black chickpea hummus, and lime from the garden. Added to this are the superb, exclusive guestrooms and tranquil surroundings, despite the proximity to Alassio which extends beyond the villa gardens.

2 years agoThe restaurant is located in a wonderful terrace in a 5 stars Hotel. The location is really nice then. The personnel is very professional and kind. The cuisine is traditional, the chef using regional ingredients cooked with skilled technique. Every dish is very tasty, especially the pasta and risotto, which I strongly recommend.

a year agoExquisite dining experience of the highest quality. We had the ligurian tasting menu which combined local ingredients with classic dishes. Fantastic service from the well drilled staff. Quite an eye popping drive to get there, do yourself a favour and get a taxi

5 years agoAbsolutely breathtaking - prepare to have your mind blown with how beautiful the villa is. Food was bursting with flavors and so incredibly fresh. Don’t expect homely meals or a traditional menu; they’ve taken local cuisines and turned them into Michelin-worthy dishes. A must-go if you’re in the area and enjoy stunning dishes with a view!

a year agoMy wine was taken away before I finished it. The waiter seemed drunk the whole time. No one served us for the first half an hour. The food was great and the cooks were fantastic but service was strange
