Nautika Restaurant lies on the very edge of the sea at Pile, alongside the western entrance to Dubrovnik’s Old City.
From its unique terraces, diners can enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind view of the Adriatic and the fortresses of Lovrijenac and Bokar.
The restaurant’s chef, Mario Bunda, leads a team whose varied offerings include lobster from the Dalmatian island of Vis and delicacies from the local waters of the Adriatic.
The restaurant is housed in the former Dubrovnik School of Maritime Studies, where it welcomed famous seafarers since as far back as 1881. Today the restaurant serves to preserve the location’s rich history, while retaining the noble atmosphere of Dubrovnik’s reign as a republic. In 2008. Nautika Restaurant was recognized as the sixth most romantic restaurant in the world by the much respected Condé Nast Traveller magazine. Nautika was honoured to host Saint John Paul II on June 6th of 2003.

4 months agoWhat can you say? Great food, impeccable service and one of the nicest atmospheres you can ask for. Yes, it’s expensive, but as my Dad always said, you get what you pay for. Cocktails are stunning, try the Croat, it’s like theatre, and had both taster menus. Highlights, sea bass, veal cheek and the desserts were insane. Other little things, the cuddly blankets when we got a little chilly, the live pianist and singer, and a sommelier at hand to offer help their enormous wine list (it was literally a hard back book). One of the highlights of the holiday, but please don’t expect a cheap meal.

6 months agoExcellent food, service, ambiance, and overall experience. Cocktails were excellent and presented table side with dramatic flair. Each course was perfect in taste and artistry. Even the soup was inventive. Our server Antonio was personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. Certainly a highlight of our visit to Dubrovnik. Highly recommend.

5 months agoHad the Beef Charolais Fillet - medium rare. Henry was kind enough to shave some truffle on top when my friend didn’t want it on her meal but I said it was my absolute favourite. The steak just melted in my mouth. Compliments from the chef were an absolute highlight as we received a starter to cleanse our palette and dessert. The upstairs outside atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, with scenes of the old town and the ocean. The service was amazing as they were attentive to what we enjoyed and didn’t enjoy, and informed us of the meal we were having. It is a pricey restaurant but the quality of everything is amazing.
