4 weeks agoThe location of Le Mas du Langoustier is hidden in the forest on the incredibly beautiful island. It’s as if you are staying in a private chateau. The grounds are beautifully manicured. They have their own beach, pool, bar and restaurant. It was often a difficult choice to go into the village. They have a shuttle that takes you to the village, port and this amazing art museum that is also in the middle of the forest. I traveled with my 2 adult daughters . We had a very comfortable room that had 2 bedrooms and a balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. All the staff is friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return !

a week agoLunch was a total disaster. We were a group of 6 adults ready to have a nice birthday meal. We waited about 40’’ for the starter and then 50’ for the entrees! We waited so long that we ended up cancelling dessert and coffee and left. The quality of the food was below par considering the exorbitant prices . €36 for a chicken breast that was too dry and with basically no accompaniment. Nobody came to inform us that they were late serving because of a large group that ordered lobster… really disappointing.

a month agoGreat lunch experience. Congrats to the chef and the staff for the high level menu and service. The calm and marvellous view added to the experience to make this a special moment. Distance is not a problem with the free shuttle from the village. I do recommend.

10 months agoWe went for dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel is quite a long way out of town but they have a free shuttle that runs to and fro town during the day. We asked the server when we sat down if it would be possible for us to take the shuttle back after dinner and they said no problem, we will arrange it for you. We were a party of six. We had the set menu and a few bottles of wine and a few digestifs. The food was aright, but nothing spectacular. The atmosphere was lovely, and the views were magical. The bill came to over €500 and then they added €50 for the shuttle bus!! We asked to speak to the manager about why we weren’t told about the cost of the shuttle service at the outset. He shrugged his shoulder saying that normally the staff informs customers about it, and he has to pay extra for a staff member to take us, and so he can’t do anything. He didn’t apologise for the fact that we weren’t informed, didn’t offer a round of drinks as an apology, didn’t take the charge off the bill - nothing. We finished our drinks and took the dusty, dirty shuttle back to town centre. The drive took 7 minutes. French service at its finest.
