The jewel in the crown of Casa Signum, an experience capable of involving all five senses. Three suggestive terraces: the main terrace, covered by a pergola, capable of satisfying every palate from breakfast to after dinner; the splendid garden veranda that welcomes guests in the spring and autumn; the terrace bar where you can enjoy an aperitif with a view of Panarea and Stromboli.Every detail is designed to make the meal an unforgettable moment. The dishes, true works of art and taste, enhance the freshness of the raw materials. The menu, the result of careful research that starts from tradition, varies from season to season, enhancing the agricultural and food heritage of the island.
Situated in the Aeolian Islands, this charming inn is home to young chef Martina Caruso who, having practically grown up here, has returned home to take up the reins at Signum after formative experiences elsewhere. Today, this young chef leads a team of nine in the kitchen, while her brother manages the charming hotel built to resemble a typical Aeolian hamlet. Martina knows exactly how to bring out the best of the vibrant ingredients sourced from the region, her own kitchen garden and the nearby sea – she allows the power of these ingredients to shine forth yet manages to make light and playful use of their intense flavours, showcasing their qualities instead of trying to hide them. Luca and cousin Raffaele enhance this gourmet experience with excellent wines (some home-produced), also available by the glass, and superb cocktails.

5 months agoWe stayed at hotel Signum on our honeymoon. The staff were lovely and the setting is beautiful. It is easy access to the beach and hiring a scooter for the day was very fun and affordable. However, there were a few things that were below our expectations for the price that you pay for your stay. The transfer to and from the port is not included and is expensive. Other places we stayed on the Aeolian islands included that in the price of the room. The food from the Bistrot was quite bland. Breakfast was also quite limited compared to other places we stayed in Sicily and on our last day they packed us breakfast as we departed at 7.45am for our ferry - the breakfast consisted of just two small muffins and some juices. We expected more, especially as breakfast is not included in the price of the room and is expensive. Spa access is also not included in the room price even though it is just a few warm pools. In summary, we had a pleasant stay but compared to other hotels on the islands, value for money was very much lacking.

5 months agoI've been to the gourmet restaurant. Not to the hotel. Incredible experience. Reinventing tradition with bold and couragious flavours without loosing the truthfulness of sicilian cousine. Probably one of the best starred restaurants I've been

5 months agoVery relaxing spot with beautiful views. Very nice service but the perfume or air freshener is very aggressive and had to vent the room. Luckily, the fan is aggressive, as well.

4 months agoThe grounds were beautiful and spa options were excellent. Unfortunately, the massage therapist clearly didn't have a clue what she was doing and untrained.

8 months agoAbsolutely stunning setting, but oh so disappointing! We ate in the Bistro. The service was so slow. The food was just ok, the cocktails were great, but sooo slow. The general feeling amongst our party of 4 was that the experience was underwhelming. Won’t go back, so many better places to eat on the island.
