If you still haven’t found your way to the best sushi in Mykonos, follow the playful “Finding Nobu” sign and you’ll land exactly where you need to be: at the only open-air Nobu restaurant in the world with an outdoors sushi bar.
After a fateful meeting in London in 2003, superstar chef and entrepreneur Nobu Matsuhisa and the Ioannidis siblings joined forces, transforming a mid-19th Century mansion into a restaurant that has become a Mykonos staple. Opening his first restaurant in Peru in 1972, Nobu Matsuhisa embraced South American and European influences, eventually coining the term New Style Japanese cuisine. Since then, his name has become synonymous to his signature black cod dish, but his repertoire is wider than the ocean. His Mykonos outpost embraces global favourites, like rock shrimp salad, yellowtail jalapeno, white fish dry miso, salmon karashi su miso and sashimi salad, but you can also find daily specials featuring Greek fish and seafood straight from the Aegean Sea.

6 months agoMatsuhisa at the Belvedere Hotel is truly a gem in Mykonos! Every time I visit, the experience is nothing short of spectacular. The warm and welcoming hostesses make you feel like a valued guest the moment you step in, setting the tone for a memorable evening. The food is simply outstanding, with each dish prepared to perfection. The quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite, and the flavors are a delightful journey for the palate. I’ve had the pleasure of dining here multiple times, and the consistency in the excellence of the food is something I deeply appreciate. The waitstaff are incredibly polite and attentive, always ensuring that every need is met with a smile. The manager and the entire team go out of their way to make you feel at home, creating an atmosphere that’s both luxurious and friendly. The restaurant itself is impeccably clean, which, along with the superb service and amazing food, makes for an absolutely fantastic dining experience every single time. Whether you’re a frequent visitor or a first-timer, Matsuhisa offers a dining experience that’s truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!”

7 months agoMatsuhisa is a living legend His food is a delight where ever we can find his sushi and Japanese fare I have been to Mykonos twice in 6 years and funny enough he has been there in person both times. Which I think has turned the superb into sublime or is it the other way. Without a lot of variations on the menu from country to country the consistency and reliability is always welcomed and the familiarity to taste favourites in new settings is like travelling with family where the cusine is a reliable cousin. Where much of Mykonos now feels greedy I felt that all guests in matsahitsa were treated equally and the food was ……. Sublime. When sushi was first popping up in restaurants in Mykonos 15 years ago I avoided it as that’s not why I went to Greece but now it goes hand in glove showing that Greece is not only the foundation of civilisation but the heart of cosmopolitan eating. Sushi is always a must and their hand cut rolls. However two new dishes never seen before were the truffle tempura lobster - divine And the wood fires (yes) rib eye Amazing and affordable compared to the waygu. Loved the whole experience

a year agoAs expected of a NOBU experience, this place was pretty amazing. The waitstaff were amazing. We were seated a few minutes early of our reservation (you must have a reservation). Immediately received water and got to put in our drink order. I believe the 3 bars here all share the same cocktail list. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Best cocktails we had on the island by a mile. My wife loved the Cucumber Chill and I gravitated to the Rossini. We tried them all though and they are amazing. For food we had a tempura roll, eel, and a small assortment of other rolls. All were 5/5 in taste and presentation. The vibe is immaculate as most tables are pool side, there’s a live international dj most nights, and the lighting sets the mood.

a year agoThe fix for Nobu fans. Beautiful hotel setting and intimate dining experience with all the classic dishes. Very relaxing evening with good food and good cocktails. A little more low-key than other old town spots — in a very positive way.
