Located in the cove of the same name and popular with a “VIP” clientele, Jondal occupies a bucolic Ibiza-style building where Rafa Zafra, a chef with a passion for the sea, is at the helm. Outstanding fish and seafood are, understandably, the stars of the show here, including an impressive selection of dishes built around caviar and created using a variety of different techniques (grilled, raw, fried, cured, salted etc). Many customers come here for the views, so we recommend booking as far in advance as possible – in summer it is not easy securing a table here.

5 months agoHighly recommend. I was received with a very nice welcome, it was the second time I’ve been there and couldn’t like more. They were perfect from the start to the end. Is a good combination of good service, fresh seafood, lovely environment… they are very attentive to the details. It was my husband birthday and we loved the experience. I had a very nice table at lunch, moved to the bar after that as I really like the ceviche and is not available in the restaurants menu. They even brought a little candle and sang feliz cumpleaños for my husband. Thank you very much for that, of course I’ll come back.

2 weeks agoPossibly the worst place on the island. 1. It took 50 minutes to even get a menu after sitting down at the table 2. The waiter did not come to take our order after asking him several times. We had to result in getting a 'supervisor' to come to the table, which then proceeded to take our order with a huge attitude 3. There is very little vegetarian options. Most of the vegetable side dishes are covered in mayonnaise. They kept saying: "We specialize in seafood, we are a seafood restaurant" basically saying if you are vegetarian you are worthless to them 4. The green salad was so salty it was in-edible 5. They did not put in two of our food items we wanted to order into the system so they never showed up 6. The restaurant complained to our concierge because our spent per person did not hit the 300+ euro mark per person spent (mind you, we had a vegetarian with us that couldn't order much and they also forgot to order two of our orders) I am not sure why any chef would want to have their name attached to a place with such bad service and attitude...

5 months agoThe beach restaurant is THE PLACE to be at in Ibiza. Outstanding food and setting under the trees of the sandy beach of Cala Jondal. Prices are steep but the experience worth the bill. The sommelier service would need significant improvement though, so better choose wine on your own. Little explanation with inaccurate flavor profile provided. Felt like he improvises randomly.

5 months agoGreat location and vibe, service was fab too. my fav beach side restaurant during my week stay in Ibiza in Oct 2024. One of those places one can have a long lazy lunch at. Great seafood selection and I loved their lobster rice. And must try is the pineapple panna cotta dessert. Only things I didn’t like here was the asparagus which was overcooked and had too much cream sauce otherwise nothing much to complain about.

6 months agoExceptionally fresh seafood, deliciously presented and with the most beautiful view of the sea. The decor and vibe is relaxing and peaceful. Note there is no music, but it works well as you can enjoy the natural sounds of the beach and waves.
