The reef-fish restaurant overlooking the sea in La Maddalena, Costa Smeralda
Romantic, panoramic sea views, a meeting place of the international jet set, this is the cliff. It’s meet at the table in a magical blend of the charming nature of the place and fine cuisine inspired by culture and maritime history, Sardinian and Mediterranean.
“La Scogliera” is not a restaurant, but a lifestyle. A place of meeting and Magic: an oasis in the middle of the sea where the triumph of flavors is accompanied and merges with visual and olfactory emotions.
The restaurant is situated on the spectacular natural setting of Porto Massimo in the northeast of the island of la Maddalena, in the heart of the
Nestled between the granite sculptures of Porto Massimo, caressed by the Emerald sea and sand from white to rose that lapping the tables, the restaurant offers a breathtaking position: a central mooring between Corsica and the Costa Smeralda ideal for offshore yachts, motorboats and maxi yachts.
In this dream location the cuisine reflects very well the expectations of our customers, giving them feelings and experiences to remember. A beautiful and elegant corner is dedicated to the Lounge, perfectly inserted in the frame of the island and is available to guests for a moment of pure relaxation pampered by the sea breeze
La Scogliera also offer a tender pick up service.

a year agoThis place deserves its five stars. It's a fancy restaurant with a stunning view, atmosphere and design. The food is exquisite, but be mindful, it's quite expensive. I was too breath-taken to take photos of the place itself, but here are some photos of the food.

6 years agoLa Scogliera is a very expensive place. It targets the big boats going around Maddalena island and coming from Costa Smeralda. Don't get me wrong. The location is beautiful in Porto Massimo (Maddalena) and the view breathtaking especially if you take the private room (2x the basic Eur10 cover charge/person). The food is OK with a few good dishes. We were 10 and had a decent selection. I had fregola with lobster and tuna steak both of which I would rate 6 or 7 out of 10. But of course the problem is that prices (even avoiding lobsters and "fish of the day") are ridiculously high so on a value for money basis.. I would rather stay on the boat...

7 months agoThe freshest seafood in Sardinia, but the consistency is not quite there. Been a few times and the food definitely tasted 10x better when the restaurant wasn’t super busy. We were once the only table at the restaurant (off season) and that was, in my opinion, our best visit. Don’t skip on the spiny lobster catalan if they offer it. Also, don’t wear heels, its a rocky path to the restaurant.

5 years agoWe arrived by boat and had a lunch there in August. Exceptional ambiance, funny atmosphere and a very good DJ. Unfortunately the food was non-standard compared to the rest and the service wasn’t as well what we expected. The price was very high, but the ambiance let you forget about this.

4 years agoExtremely beautiful place with an amazing view, however when we arrived we were not given a menu to look at, we were there for a quick drink and ordered 5 coffees as the waitress came to take our order (we had still not been shown the menu). Then we decided to have some Mirto and Limoncello, still having not seen the menu we were expecting to pay higher than normal prices due to the location. However, for 5 espresso and 5 limoncello/mirto for the bill to be €75 is very expensive, especially since we were not even offered a menu (which is common practise in higher end restaurants)... Very disappointed with this level of disrespect we were shown and will not be returning again.
